My Work Experience

I was the kid who took everything apart to learn how it worked.

Below is a chart that I hope will show my proficiency with web based technologies.

Please note that while I am not an expert per se in any one field, I am experienced and I have a strong understanding of how these techonologies work together as seperate entities. To read my work bio and see my resume scroll to the bottom.

Thank you for taking the time to review my work experience.

The long winded work bio I wrote.

My work career began in 1999 with a typical fast food job working both front side and grill. I gained knowledge of systems during the time working there and understood early on that the key to efficiency and keeping costs low was having a systematic approach. I began my belief in this and applied it to everything I could. I worked between a kitchen and patron dining room until my 20th and 1st day (legal age to serve alcohol) when I signed up to serve as a waiter in a franchise restaurant, then worked between this and misc jobs as a banquet server in country clubs and a convention center until 2005. Along the way I traversed across three states, six cities, in four automobiles and loved every moment as a working college student would - always analyzing in my experience with a world of systems. If you don't stop to ponder you miss the point of a system. Everything is part of a system that is at least one entity larger than itself. So in my experience with analyzing our world I've determined everything can be broken down into the working parts and the current that makes metal mechanical, wind blow at high speeds, or a human stand and walk as an example. I'm getting to a point I promise...

Systems oriented thinking may be a good term to use when defining this perspective. My approach to this perspective could be defined as reverse engineering. So early on I discovered I learn best through the practice of reverse engineering and applied systems oriented thinking. I've summarized my work career until after college where this learning style and a few other contributing factors lead me to drop classes and discontinue my pursuit of a degree in psychology. I didn't change my course of study but decided to go for a piece of Corporate America, and I signed up with AT&T as a Customer Support Rep (CSR). With this job I had an opportunity to really experience a world of systems. Mobile phone technology had always excited me and this taught me a life time of knowledge in that industry. Manageing the phone lines, using the 30 or 40 web tools to troubleshoot problems with the devices, towers and the billing took my experience with computer systems to a new level. I had a group of tech guys I took breaks with and we loved playing games between calls. We had an instant messenger chat client installed and running on the network and used false proxies to access restricted sites, like google. So to continue using my theme of systems thinking and that line, I spent a good chuck of time working, up to 60 hour weeks using computers from the operating system level to the world wide web (no wiki links here).

In 2007 I resigned and moved to Lexington, Ky in the pursuit of my yet to be wife. I signed up with a small business that sells health products marketed as all natural and preventive health alternatives. Thier products sold and were marketed completely web based (other than production). While working this job I learned the systems and greatly improved many of them with simple adjustments to effeciency. I handled customer inquiries, a network with over 1500 active affiliates, new product research, and learned the systems used to generate the online sales success. In July of 2008 I left and joined a startup opportunity with a prospective partner. During this time I applied those learned systems and re-developed a site from the ground up with the goal of generating organic leads on the internet. It was a success and thus began a relationship with web systems. I single handedly managed and laid the development, design, strategy, implementation and analytics systems for this website and a sister site that had one goal, generate organic leads from google searches. My work experience in web based techologies began to expand into many of the child techonologies. During the later times I also moonlighted as a home based PC technician, repairing PC computers, providing data recovery and virus removal services.
